So, I have a few questions for y’all, which kinda stem from a few conversations I’ve had with peeps on the Virb groups of late:
- What do you do (for work)?
- Who do you work for?
- What are your “Tools of the trade”?
- On a scale of 1 - 10, how satistfied with your job are you?
No holding back now, especially you IT folk out there - I want all the dirty details! ;-)
To get things started, it’s probably only fair that I answer my own questions:
- I am a User-Interface Developer, which is a glorified name for a web-jack-of-all-trades.
- SM2
- @work:
- PC w/ 20″ wide-screen display (*drools*)
- PHP Eclipse, CVS, FileZilla, Adobe CS 2 Premium, Firefox 2 / Opera, Putty
@home:
- (Black) Macbook w/ 19″ wide-screen
- TextMate, Transmit, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Firefox 2 / Camino, Parallels w/ XP & Ubuntu, MAMP, Locomotive, PHP Eclipse (occasionally)
- I’d say 7-ish.

sigh . . . my post split :( We’ll start again :)
I’m half IT, does that count? :)
1. Supposedly a radio ‘producer’, which at the moment means audio/web development with some IT network management thrown in for good measure.
2. 92.9FM / AGMF ONLINE
3. WORK:
PC, 19″ + my personal 17″ screen (non-wide sadly), ProTools 7, Photoshop CS2, FileZilla, Audition 2, Firefox, gVIM, iTunes (for purely professional reasons I promise . . )
HOME:
PC, 24″ widescreen, same as work :)
Macbook Pro, TextWrangler, Transmit, Photoshop CS3 beta, Mail, iCal, iTunes, VLC, FinalCut 5
4. 9 ish (i hold my last point for lack of a bigger office)
